It ‘s happened unexpectedly. When I was chilling at my parents’ home nearby Moscow I found out that I had to be in Almaty in two days. Actually I was treating my sore back at that time. I had no choice, because I wanted to be there to see my old friends, to see Patrick. I was really looking forward. So I’d come back to Moscow, packed my UDG with some recent, some vintage records and went to airport.
The weather in Almaty was awful! I’ve really forgotten this degree of the heat. The pain in my back was unbearable. My friend Diana had met me and we went to DK place. Talking about DK – it’s a brand new place in Almaty where you can drink and eat something tasty aaand, that is more interesting – buy records and some design stuff at the tiny shop inside the cafe. I really love this place, it’s so fashionable and cozy at the same time. By the way, I made all graphic work for them like wallprints (on the first floor and in the VIP room), logo, napkins, flyers and so forth…Being there pay attention to the menu – it’s my pride))
So, I had really good dinner and the pearch ice tea returned me to the real life.
The next day there was an Infosession at DK. Earlier I’d met Patrick Pulsinger there. I was so happy so see him! Like I was for a moment at the Academy. He was elated too, drinking apple fresh and eating lentil soup that he liked so much. I was a bit worried about the upcoming session and sets that night, so I permitted myself a sip of cognac.
Infosession had started. I told just a few (could tell more of course) about my experience and then Patrick has begun a master-class with his super synthesizer. I think it was interesting for the people that came there, but they were so shy! Then, after a short break Patrick started to spin downstairs while people were relaxing on the bar, preparing for the long night. I was spinning after him, so stressful to do it with the CD))))))
At midnight I had to start a party at Da Freak club. There were quite a few people at that time, but after the fifth track they began to come and stay. I decided not to subtilize with techno deep and clicking stuff, I was just playing that I wanted to be played if I were on the dancefloor. So there was everything! From Dominik Eulberg to Tiga, from Zyntherious to Skepta (!), a little bit of Trapez stuff, a little bit of the Get Physical, and I ended this farrago up with Moby’s GO! Patrick really liked the last track))) He started right after me. I loved his set as well as Kostya Bazhanov’s. It was a big night, I suppose, because I was dancing like crazy that happens to me quite seldom. As Alexander Koh said after, he has never seen me in this role before)))))

Надеюсь, она даст свои плоды. Я постаралась припомнить все, что меня волновало до поездки в Академию. Удивительно, у меня как минимум 2 друга – участники прошлых лет, и ни один из них не смог дать мне тогда исчерпывающей информации, которая меня волновала. Порадовало то, что люди не стеснялись задавать вопросы, и вопросы были по теме. Я проиграла 10 минут своего микса, который прилагала к заявке, показала фото, видео, где Пульсингер мучает синтезатор. Так и прошло 2 часа. После ужина я вновь вернулась в клуб “Граффити”, где отыграла двух-часовой сет, от чего получила массу удовольствия. В ход пошли абсолютно все пластинки, что у меня были с собой. Ставку в этот раз я сделала на приджазованный тек-хаус, который люблю особенно сильно последние полгода. Вставила пару фанковых вещей, которые даже не планировала играть, ну и закончила по традиции Алексом Смоуком и Экстравельтом. Отличная атмосфера, отличный прием!
Но почему Минск, а как же Алма-Ата, спросите вы? На это у меня, к сожалению, нет ответа.
