I’m happy to officially start blogging with the very first Fashion Communication podcast. In this podcast – some of the best tracks played at the runway shows during the past few years, including Kids, Manila etc.
In short, what this blog is about. It’s about those varied ways that fashion brands use to connect to people. From runway shows to advertising campaigns, from shop windows to shop interiors, from legend making to star collaborations. You can call it boring “marketing communication”, you’ll be right. But in regards to the fashion industry nothing can be boring. I’ve started this blog to collect and analyse fashion marketing tricks that different brands use to promote their goods. It helps me to combine my PR & Marketing background with my passion for fashion. I never wanted to write a common fashion blog with tons of “cute” pics that duplicate each other from one to another. But there are not so many blogs on the net about fashion business itself. It is clear, fashion always has been a “closed” industry, but on the other hand every day we consume its products or at least hearken to its messages from TV ads and magazine covers and go to enrich fakes, satisfying our vainglory. To make a dream, then sell it – this is the main goal. Isn’t it thrilling?

It ‘s happened unexpectedly. When I was chilling at my parents’ home nearby Moscow I found out that I had to be in Almaty in two days. Actually I was treating my sore back at that time. I had no choice, because I wanted to be there to see my old friends, to see Patrick. I was really looking forward. So I’d come back to Moscow, packed my UDG with some recent, some vintage records and went to airport.
The weather in Almaty was awful! I’ve really forgotten this degree of the heat. The pain in my back was unbearable. My friend Diana had met me and we went to DK place. Talking about DK – it’s a brand new place in Almaty where you can drink and eat something tasty aaand, that is more interesting – buy records and some design stuff at the tiny shop inside the cafe. I really love this place, it’s so fashionable and cozy at the same time. By the way, I made all graphic work for them like wallprints (on the first floor and in the VIP room), logo, napkins, flyers and so forth…Being there pay attention to the menu – it’s my pride))
So, I had really good dinner and the pearch ice tea returned me to the real life.
The next day there was an Infosession at DK. Earlier I’d met Patrick Pulsinger there. I was so happy so see him! Like I was for a moment at the Academy. He was elated too, drinking apple fresh and eating lentil soup that he liked so much. I was a bit worried about the upcoming session and sets that night, so I permitted myself a sip of cognac.
Infosession had started. I told just a few (could tell more of course) about my experience and then Patrick has begun a master-class with his super synthesizer. I think it was interesting for the people that came there, but they were so shy! Then, after a short break Patrick started to spin downstairs while people were relaxing on the bar, preparing for the long night. I was spinning after him, so stressful to do it with the CD))))))
At midnight I had to start a party at Da Freak club. There were quite a few people at that time, but after the fifth track they began to come and stay. I decided not to subtilize with techno deep and clicking stuff, I was just playing that I wanted to be played if I were on the dancefloor. So there was everything! From Dominik Eulberg to Tiga, from Zyntherious to Skepta (!), a little bit of Trapez stuff, a little bit of the Get Physical, and I ended this farrago up with Moby’s GO! Patrick really liked the last track))) He started right after me. I loved his set as well as Kostya Bazhanov’s. It was a big night, I suppose, because I was dancing like crazy that happens to me quite seldom. As Alexander Koh said after, he has never seen me in this role before)))))
Thanks for all my friends, especially big thanks to Diana and Alexander, who made this weekend happen!

В эту субботу, 27-го июня я буду играть ди-джей сеты в DK и в Da Freak club вместе с Патриком Пульсингером в Алма-Ате.
27 июня в Алматы пройдет не просто инфосессия, а мастер-класс от Патрика Пулсингера – австрийского ди-джея и продюсера, любезно согласившегося посетить наш город еще раз и продемонстрировать некоторые особенности в работе с аналоговым синтезатором, секреты создания гармоничных басовых линий, красивого бита и разнообразных эффектов.
В конце мастер-класса любой желающий участник инфосессии сможет попробовать применить только что полученные знания на практике и даже «поджемить» с мистером Пулсингером. Кстати, именно по такой схеме проходят «уроки» в Академии.
Это уникальное мероприятие пройдет в чудесном месте под названием DK. Вход будет осуществляться только по списку.
Для того чтобы принять участие в инфосессии, необходимо отправить заявку на адрес nevasheva@redbullmusicacademy.com, в которой указать свои имя, фамилию, творческий псевдоним (если есть), номер мобильного телефона и email.По окончании мастер-класса Патрик сыграет небольшой лайв-сет, прослушать который смогут все желающие, так как после 21.00 заведение продолжит работу в обычном режиме.
